Ian Fleming – Senior Contracts Manager
I initially started with the Company in August 1998 in the role of an on site electrician, working within the London team. Following on from this I was then placed on one of our major projects within the City of London to liaise with the client on a daily basis and to have control of other members of the team allocated to work with me. This was my first major project with Multitech Site Services and provided me with a good background in people skills and supervision.
I then progressed to London Contracts Supervisor which involved me in being responsible for the co-ordination and operation of the London area site installation team. This change in role helped me to enhance and develop my skills and provided the background to my current position of Managing Engineer which I have held for five years. This role has provided me with the opportunity to understand about the financial control of a large number of projects with continued supervision, plus to develop skills in recruitment and development of employees and project engineering principles.
During my time at Multitech I have been encouraged to attend numerous training courses to support me in my role, including programmes in areas such as supervision; marketing; and leadership as well as various technical courses.
l have recently been promoted to Senior Contracts Manager. This involves lots of work with the Company’s Directors as well as some mentoring and coaching. I look forward to furthering my career within the Company.
Outside of work I enjoy socialising and a round of golf or two.

Jo Higgs – Accounts and Surveying Manager
I joined Multitech in February 2003 as an Accounts Assistant. In this role I was primarily involved in helping to prepare project accounts and analysis. I was later promoted to the position of Area Applications Leader which again included project accounts but with a far greater emphasis on quantity surveying work and on managing and developing my team in conjunction with the Finance Director.
I currently hold the position of Accounts and Surveying Manager. In this role I still have surveying and accounts duties but I am also responsible for, and gaining more experience in, purchase ledger and credit control.
I now manage a team who cover the areas of surveying; credit control; and purchase ledger.
During my time at Multitech, I feel that I have been supported to develop my skills and have been sponsored to attend various courses including programmes in supervisory management. I enjoy my current post within the Accounts Team and look forward to progressing my career within the Company.
I am an equine enthusiast and in my spare time, a horse riding instructor.

David Woodham – Approved Electrician
Hi! My name is David and I have worked for Multitech Site Services since March 2000. When I first joined the Company I had no formal training or experience in electrical installation work, but my training started on day one when I joined the Company. Right from the beginning I was included as part of the team at staff meetings. I have always been encouraged to express my opinions and I feel that I can approach Guy (the boss) directly at any time.
I have been fully supported by Multitech through both on-the-job training and day-release study at East Herts Regional College on the Modern Apprenticeship scheme. I achieved my Advanced Modern Apprenticeship Certificate in April 2006 after gaining City & Guilds NVQ qualifications at Level 2 and 3 and AM2 Test, so now I work for the Company as a fully qualified electrician and help to train other apprentices.
Multitech have been great to work for, the office providing strong back-up support for jobs and supplying any uniform, PPE, mobile phone, van and power tools for the job.
Since joining Multitech I have gained wide experience in the industry, working on a range of projects, both large and small, in a variety of locations, including hospitals, schools, railways and prisons to large development sites including Wembley Arena. I have installed lighting at the top of power cranes and was part of the first team that entered Woking Underground Station, part of the network which had not been opened since the Second World War, checking for electrical safety before anyone else was allowed to enter. With such variety, work doesn’t get boring!
There is a great team feeling and the Christmas Social event is always a good bash!

Rita Lilley – Senior Warehouse Operative
I started with Multitech in August 2006 as a Warehouse Operative working within the Warehouse Team on a range of tasks such as pick and pack; goods in/despatch; and light electrical repairs. I am also a qualified Fork Lift Truck driver.
In October I attended a First Aid training course and became one of the Company’s First Aiders, something I really enjoy.
In January 2007, I was promoted to Senior Warehouse Operative and as such lead a small team who are responsible for the goods despatch. I enjoy my work and feel I can make a valuable contribution to the success of the Company.
In my spare time, I like to walk my German Shepherd dog, Daytona.
